TEACHING
Since training to be a Modern Foreign languages teacher, Esther has taught French at Secondary level (KS3 & GCSE) and A-Level (A2) as well as Spanish at Secondary level (KS3 & GCSE) . Her 21 year career included training primary schools to develop their Primary languages provision; a history of good results outcomes and 'Outstanding' teacher and tutor judgements; being awarded the ‘Teachnet’ Award for organising video conferences with a primary partner school and organising work experience exchange trips and cultural trips to France - providing an authentic environment for students to improve their French skills.
EXAMINATIONS
Having had oversight of the Examinations system within a large secondary school over two sites and being familiar with the requirements of the Joint Qualifications Council (JCQ), Esther has an excellent knowledge base to guide students in a context where avoiding mis-use of AI or engagement with plagiarism to support coursework and examination preparation is paramount.
In her role as Head of Year, continuous monitoring of academic progress, performing gap analysis and implementing targeted coaching intervention year group wide resulted in (and remains) the highest results (2022) for any year group in the same school between 2018-2025.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Throughout her career in education, Esther has been passionate about supporting the personal development of both students and colleagues in the classroom and beyond through teaching, mentoring, coaching, training or imparting knowledge from life lessons through public speaking opportunities.
During her time in Senior Leadership, Esther oversaw Personal Development in a school of just under two thousand students with positive reports from Ofsted Report 2024: ‘The school has transformed its provision for personal, social and health education (PSHE)’.
As a qualified and experienced Personal Performance Coach, Esther is driven to support personal growth and confidence in others and now combines this with her experience in supporting students going through assessments and examinations to offer Revision Coaching to guide students towards the pursuit of both their academic and personal goals.
Esther is warm, friendly, enthusiastic and passionate about personal development and supporting others towards their academic and life goals. A fierce promoter and protector of 'the learning journey' - allowing each learner to forge their own path to those golden moments of knowledge or skill mastery.
